Located in Newton Centre, Massachusetts, Newton Montessori is a uniquely diverse and multi-cultural community. Our goal is to assist each of our students in becoming fully-developed, independent, self-confident, self-disciplined individuals. We strive to create well-rounded students who have a strong foundation in basic academics, as well as inspire a true love of learning.</font></p> <p><font face="Arial">Throughout the School, there is a continuum of the curriculum, from one class and age group to the next. This allows children to move at their own pace in a positive and supportive atmosphere. Each child develops in his/her own way and pace in multi-age, carefully prepared classrooms that offer tremendous freedom of choice with specific and well-defined limits. This provides the opportunity for academic achievement on a high level, beyond what would be expected in most other environments. Learning experiences are hands-on, self-directed, and self-correcting. Work takes place individually, in small groups, and in large groups. Children follow their interests.
